            Colorado Living

            An outdoor paradise

The Centennial State is an outdoor paradise as well as a thriving business and cultural hub with something for everyone. You'll quickly discover that life in the Rockies is about getting out and playing: skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling, climbing, camping, running, concert-going. If it involves sunshine (did we mention 300 sunny days a year?) and the outdoors, Colorado has you covered!

And when you need to refuel from all that fun, check out the artisan restaurants, cafes and cultural venues that abound in Denver. Want to relax? Check out City Park, the Denver Botanic Gardens and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. And don't forget to take in the attractions at the world-class Denver Center for the Performing Arts, which sits next door to CU Denver, or one of Denver's professional sports teams—Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche and Rapids.

            Quick Facts

            • In 1893, while on top of Pikes Peak, Katharine Lee Bates was inspired to write the words to “America the Beautiful.”

            • Central City, located 45 minutes west of Denver, is known as the “Richest Square Mile on Earth” due to the half-billion dollars of gold that was mined there.

            • The Colorado Trail is a 500-mile-long hiking trail, stretching from Durango to Denver and crossing eight mountain ranges, seven national forests, six wilderness areas and five river systems.
